DC Guild Emblem

Don't know if this was discussed before, but I remember reading somewhere that the game allows us to customize our own guild emblem. I think we should take advantage of this feature and create our own guild symbol.

I can create a few images for us to choose from, but it will be awhile before I can get the time to do so. If anyone else has some knowledge of graphic arts, and the motivation to create a few for DC, it would be appreciated. We could come up with a few, have our members take a look at them and then vote on which one to use.

I'll see if I can find the size requirements and information pertaining to this feature.

Hi everyone! Finally made it to the forums - RL has been rather hectic

Bogey sent me an invite about a week ago. I've been playing MMOs since SWG came out, and I'm really enjoying Aion. Never did get into WoW - I just never had the time. I have a 5-year old, so play time is never for very long, although I try to get on every day (usually in the evenings, 8 - 10 PM eastern).

I hope to get my level up ASAP so I can start joining you all in the Abyss. If anyone is in their mid-teens and wants a partner to run missions with send me a /tell - I'm always happy to have company!

I look forward to meeting you all in game!

AION Hints and Helps

Just wondering, I had some mirage cloth and leather armor the other day and ended up "private store" sellling it, but would of been glad to hand off to a DC-er. You all do that sort of thing? Any organized method to pass on gear?

Also, Am currently a level 21 cleric and been farming crabs at costas coast and for kinah (45k an hour) and drops,... doing OK (That's where the mirage cloth and leather drops come from) but was wondering if anyone had any other suggestins for farming spots? I am especially interested in some chain mail drops,..?

Hey anzati would you be able to change the codex on vent from w/e it is to speex please? im on a mac computer an vent only works for me if thats the codex its on sorry if this is any trouble, an if you do set it to speex you would have to reet the sound quality otherwise people will sound like robots lol. This was the same problem with my wow guilds vent, we sounded like robots till they changed the sound quality

Screens of DC Group Run

few of us had some krall quests, while others came to help. So we got together and tackled a few of them. here's first screens I have of dc in aion

Here we have Graxion asking us how to put his 'stuck' wings away. Dionysius quickly offered to help and races to pounce Graxion.

In this screen we have what is called a 'failed to execute a proper wedgy on the guild leader' moment. Lestat flees as Graxion is unhappy about the little prank.

To Dionysius dismay, I show off my new tree morphing ability by turning him into a tree while the rest of us finish off the mobs. Duel's + CC = FUN!

Here is Dionysius telling me that he did not appreciate me turning him into a tree. Papagrimheal hides his face attempting not to bust out in laughter.

In this screen we have what appears to be 3 grown men skipping and frolicking after Azuria. This is before Kesuku joined the group.

And this is a random screen I took earlier today that has absolutely nothing to do with our dc run. It is of a giant, evil, mutated Ram? named Andre. So this is what happened to Shinimaru...

~Exciting Changes to 1.5~

Edit: Knite's Knotes: I need to point out that this article is about changes being made to the Korean client and there is no ETA on when these updates will hit Western servers, if it will be the same version as what is listed here, and also that everything is subject to change for our market. Take any patch notes read here as a reference for what's on the way.

Well first off I do apologize for the patch system being so tricky for some, many people are referring to these changes as 1.6 or even 1.7 but alas that's not how the Korean devs like to do things. All client changes since the major content patch of 1.5 have been increments of 1.5 (1.5.1, 1.5.2, etc)

Still some exciting new stuff and a recap of some slightly older that you may have missed, enjoy!

Quest XP - Increased

Props to Chob for letting us know about this change. -salute-

One thing a lot of people seem to be struggling to come to terms with is Quests, it seems our Korean friends were thinking along the same lines with substantial increases to XP rewards in 1.5. However they're not quite done with yet another increase going live on the test realms just recently.

As you can see in the image quest XP has taken yet another hike upwards, hopefully this gives motivation for people to fully explore the rich and colorful world that is Atreia.

General 1.6 Notes (Really 1.5.1 but whatever...)

These changes were brought to our attention a couple weeks back but apparently some people missed out so why not feature it today I say? Hopefully we'll be seeing all this good stuff on our realms in the near future, to my understanding it hasn't shifted from the test to live realms within Korea as of yet.

1. During aether extraction there will be a low chance to be inflicted with 'Aether Venom'. Unless removed, this effect will not allow the character to extract any materials for a certain period of time.
- Aether Venom can only be neutralized with the 'Word of Purification'
- 'Word of Purication' can be received once completing a captcha phrase
- You have up to 3 attempts to complete the captcha phrase. If the captcha is incorrect 3 times, then the character will not be able to extract Aether or regular materials for a certain period of time.
- The '/ExtractStatus' command can be used to check whether your character is able or unable to extract materials.
- Characters can still move or do other actions with the Aether Venom debuff. Players are advised to move to a safe location before completing the captcha.

1. Instance zone information window added.
- This window can be opened using the '/checkentry' command or by clicking the 'Instance zone information' option from the start menu.
- You can check your own and your party/raid members' instance lockout timers from this window

2. Numbered buttons now appear on the side when using the Qina/item quantity window.
- clickable buttons for those too lazy to type

- text color changes depending on the amount

3. Use of the auction window has been made more convenient
- in the item list tab, 2 drop down options added. 'Include in search' and 'Exact match'.

- The 'Include in search' option will search for all items that include the text provided in the input box. The 'Exact match' option only looks for items with exactly the same name as the item being searched for.

- Right clicking or alt+left clicking an item in your bag while the auction window is open will automatically fill the search input box with the item's name.

- Right clicking an item(in your bag) in the registration tab will register it in the auction house.

4. Cubes can now be individually auto-arranged when you have multiple cubes.
- right click the Cube name to use the 'change tab name' and 'cube auto arrange' options.

5. Items like the 'Color spray' and 'Hair dye' can now be previewed using the character wardrobe feature(Ctrl+left click).

1. In the case where a combo ability branches off into 2 possible skills, you can now choose which which skill/s you prefer to go into your skill chain.
- Left click and drag the skill icon of the skill you want to use to the top.

2. During Pvp, when casting a skill on a player and they run out of range during the skill cast, the skill will still go off if the target is still within a certain distance from the caster.

1. Elemental defenses slightly decreased.

2. Amount of stigma shards required for equipping stigmas reduced

We've mentioned this once or twice before but you SMs just can't get enough, another incrimental patch to 1.5 on the Korean test servers is but of course flying pets.

Well I lie, my Sorcerer would prefer to not see this coming but he'll learn to bear the brunt I'm sure

Alright gang, we need some screenshots of our early days in Aion. Preferably, we need some pvp and some as a large group of DC together. For those that do not know, creenshots can be taken with the Print Screen key (PrtScn) and they can be uploaded to photobucket.com for free. So next time your out with a bunch of DC, take some screenshots and post them on our forums.

Also, for those who haven't seen this yet, read the white text in the bottom left chat box:
