US Ahead of EU for Once?
Up above, I included a link to the US BG9 3v3 ladder, and I'll also link the EU Cyclone 3v3 ladder here. On the US side of things, you'll notice the ladder is filled with lots of different comps with all sorts of off-specs being represented. However, the EU counterparts seem to be mostly still running old, traditional comps, primarily RMP. Now few people will deny that EU and Asia had the best RMP's in TBC, but WotLK is much different than TBC (unfortunately). RMP isn't the juggernaut that it used to be and practice doesn't necessarily make perfect anymore.
The world has witnessed both European and Asian RMP's lose to many US teams in both mirror and otherwise in the latest tournaments and even Ming predicted that if BG9 were resurrected with all of the top players participating, that the US would lose its diversity in comps and fall below the other countries once again. But what we're seeing happens to be the compete opposite, isn't it? The Americans seem to be the ones coming up with all the new, clever, and overpowered comps while the Europeans still seem to be delusional that RMP beats everything if you play it enough.
I'm not taking anything away from the awesome RMP teams over in Europe like Hydra's team, but it really seems like EU is behind the curve ever since 3.0 and have yet to catch up. Have they all just been "WotLK'd" or has the US just adapted better?
